Echolalia

Echolalia communicates! Did you know at least 85% of Autistic individuals (and some neurotypicals) process language naturally through gestalt language? Using the Natural Language Acquisition framework, we support kids on their journey to self-generated language!

Sensory Supports for Regulation

Heyday Speech incorporates sensory supports to promote emotional and physical regulation during sessions. We have a climbing wall, trampoline, swing, crash pad, sensory bins, blankets, tent, calm lighting, and other fun items to incorporate into our sessions. Regulation is key when learning new skills!

Hello! I’m thrilled that you’re here! Let me share the story of Heyday Speech & Language Therapy with you. This journey began with a clear purpose: to provide exceptional speech and language services to children in the Salt Lake area. I believe in embracing neurodiversity, and my approach is guided by the principles of being child-led and play-based.

Why did I embark on this path? Well, I was tired—tired of the constraints imposed by school policies, the weight of heavy caseloads, and the pressure to be an all-knowing expert. It was time for a change. And so, from the cozy confines of my car, Heyday was born. I started by traveling to clients’ homes, then moved into a small office space in Sandy. But now, I’ve settled into an adorable, spacious haven—a place where kids can move freely, play, and learn in their own unique way.

Are You Ready to Get Started with Heyday Speech & Language Therapy?

We provide services at our fun office in beautiful Sandy, Utah in the Willow Creek Plaza on the corner of Creek Road and Highland Drive. We also see students at private schools in Park City.

Step One

Contact us for a FREE 15 minute consultation where we will discuss your concerns, gather information, and explain our approach to therapy.

Step Two

We will schedule your child for an evaluation, if needed, or an intake session to gather information about your child’s strengths, unique abilities, and areas needing supports.

Step Three

If the evaluation indicates areas requiring treatment or support, we will begin! Treatment typically begins within a week or two and sessions frequency and duration are determined based on evidence and best practices.
