Hello! I’m Renée Bruder, a certified and licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist. As the proud owner of Heyday Speech & Language Therapy LLC in Sandy, Utah, I am passionate about helping children thrive.

My Journey:

• I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science Disorders from Portland State University in Oregon.

• Later, I pursued my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Utah.

My Approach:

• As a certified Natural Language Acquisition Trained Clinician, I believe in celebrating neurodiversity. Each child’s unique strengths and differences are not just accepted but honored and valued.

• At Heyday, we prioritize the needs of both the child and their family. Our mission is to provide therapy that truly fits the child, empowering meaningful communication.

• I use a play-based, child-led approach to learning during every session. Play is not only evidence-based, but it brings joy to a child, and strengthens important neural networks in the brain.

• Sensory regulation opportunities are available to every child, regardless of need. Our brains and bodies need regulation before learning can happen.

Beyond Therapy:

• When I’m not working with kids, you’ll find me:

  • Camping in the great outdoors.

  • Hiking scenic trails.

  • Sipping coffee on my front deck.

  • Cuddling with my two adorable kitties, Hops and Barley.

  • Sharing life with my husband, Jeff, in downtown Salt Lake City.
